Women who exercise during pregnancy will be more balanced and will cope more easily with the emotional and physiological changes of pregnancy.

There are many positive effects of moving, such as: better body image, higher self-esteem, better quality sleep and increased energy levels.

From the 2nd trimester, the complexly structured therapy includes the following:

  • breathing and circulation improving exercises
  • spinal mobilization, stretching exercises to avoid musculoskeletal pain
  • trunk muscle strengthening, which contributes to faster regeneration of the rectus diastasis after childbirth
  • foot arch exercises, which help prevent arch flattening due to hormonal changes
  • the conscious exercises of the pelvic floor muscles, which contributes to the prevention of a high degree of episiotomy and urinary incontinence symptoms
  • soft tissue treatments, application of kinesio tape in case of lumbar, sacral, pubic, lower limb, shoulder girdle pain
  • lymphatic massage in case of edema
  • a massage that can be used during labor, which I also teach to fathers
  • discussion of pelvic floor massage
  • relaxation, autogenic training
  • a summary written by me containing lifestyle advice and physiotherapy covering the 3rd trimester and the first 6 weeks after childbirth

An obstetrician-gynecologist’s license is required to start physiotherapy.
